AGR Strengthens Global Infrastructure with 3 Senior Promotions
AGR Petroleum Services has continued to strengthen its offering with three senior promotions.
Tom Conlon, Chris Sugden and Simon Lucas have all been promoted from within AGR Petroleum, highlighting the Company's commitment to staff retention by providing continuous training and career development opportunities.
Tom will return to Aberdeen next month to take up the position of Senior Project Manager. His move follows more than two and half years working in AGR Petroleum's Dubai office. Tom worked for Marathon Oil for almost 25 years in both Indonesia and Aberdeen and, more recently, worked for BG Group in Egypt. His new role will focus on planning and implementing international rig campaigns.
Tom's position in the Middle East has been filled by Chris who has relocated from Aberdeen to Dubai to become Regional Manager for the Middle East and South East Asia. Chris has extensive experience of the drilling sector and has held a number of senior drilling engineer positions with companies such as BP and Kerr McGee North Sea Limited.
Aberdeen-based Simon Lucas has succeeded Chris and has been promoted from Well Team Leader to Engineering Manager for the UK and West Africa. His role will include managing well design within AGR Petroleum, building field development capability as well as client liaison for well delivery projects. Simon, who has been with the company for more than two years, previously worked for a major operator in Aberdeen.
Ian Burdis, Vice President of Well Management, said, "It is an exciting time for AGR Petroleum as we continue to increase activity in the North Sea and grow our international reach. All three of these employees bring with them a wealth of experience which will not only strengthen the high level of service we provide to clients but also underlines our promise to provide fantastic career opportunities to our staff. These promotions recognize the outstanding contribution Tom, Chris and Simon make to the Company and their input in the new roles will be invaluable as we take the firm forward."
AGR Petroleum Services has seen significant growth this year with the acquisition of TRACS International Consultancy LTD, a global provider of integrated services and training in the geology and petroleum engineering sectors and with well project management activity in the UKCS increasing 80% on last year.
