STX Gets Go Ahead from Shareholders to Up Stakes in AKY

Monday, August 18, 2008STX Norway AS and their financial advisors ABG Sundal Collier have on August 18, 2008 announced that STX Norway AS has received acceptances from shareholders representing a total of 54,512,583 shares under the mandatory offer to acquire shares in AKY.
Including the above shares, STX Norway AS now controls 100,396,293 shares in AKY, corresponding to 88.37 % of the total outstanding shares and votes in the Company.
The mandatory offer period expired Friday, August 15, 2008 at 16.30 CET. The offer price was NOK 63 per share.
According to STX, the final confirmed results will be published on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.
