C&M Marine Contracts with Manson to Build GOM Accomodations

Manson Construction has contracted with C&M Marine Services USA, Inc. to design and fabricate a 750-ton ABS/USCG approved living quarters/generator/control room building including a helideck for its DB509 crane barge under construction to be utilized in the Gulf of Mexico. The accommodations complex will total 17,600 square feet of living space and four levels when completed.

The living quarters package will be fabricated at C&M Marine’s waterfront facility located at the Port of Vermilion, Abbeville, Louisiana and is scheduled for delivery in March 2009. Manson’s DB509 barge hull is currently under construction in Portland, Oregon and the accommodations unit will be loaded onto the barge in Houma, Louisiana.
