M/V SCAN Stigandi Surveys Caribbean Without A Hitch
SCAN Geophysical has reported that the M/V SCAN Stigandi has successfully commenced its first seismic survey without any operational problems. The contract consists of approximately 4,000 km in the Caribbean region.
On June 23, SCAN Geophysical reported that the M/V SCAN Stigandi had experienced engine failure during transit to the Caribbean region. Repair of the main engine and subsequent sea trials were completed, and the vessel was sent to commence the earlier announced proprietary contract work.
This modern seismic vessel is equipped to handle four streamers for 3D applications and longoffset, large source configurations for 2D surveys worldwide.
