Brownstone, Partners Plan Drilling on NW Indian Block in Q1 2009
Brownstone Ventures Inc. has provided an update on its activity in its 15% participating interest in the AA-ONN-2003/2 onshore block in Arunachal Pradesh, Northwest India.
The Operator has advised that the acquisition of the 100-square-kilometer 3-D seismic program is complete and the data is currently being processed. So far, four drilling locations have been identified and selected, with the remaining commitment wells (up to seven) to be identified on review of the new 3-D seismic data. Commencement of drilling operations is anticipated in the first quarter of 2009, pending regulatory approval.
The consortium partners in the Block are Brownstone (15%); Canoro Resources Ltd. (15%); National Thermal Power Corporation (40%); and Geopetrol International Inc. (30%).
