ONWJ Pipeline Undergoes Scheduled Maintenance
BP West Java plans to repair a pipeline from the ONWJ field from July 11 to July 25. The repair is part of a scheduled maintenace planned since last year. Gas production from ONWJ will be sustained at a lower volume, according to BPMIGAS Head of Operations Division Sucahyo Wahyu Pratomo.
The field usually pumps about 260 MMBTUD of gas, Sucahyo said. With the maintenance, the production level will decline by 200 MMBTUD. Gas supplies of 135 MMBTUD to Muara Karang and Tanjung Priok power plants and 65 MMBTUD to PGN will be halted.
Gas from Pertamina through the South Sumatra West Java pipeline will replace the supply for PGN customers.
BP Commercial Manager Ida Yusmiati said that the pipeline repair was planned and budgeted since 2007.
