Revus Spuds Torphins Well in the North Sea

Revus Energy ASA announced that the Torphins exploration well, 21/8-4, production licence p1107, commenced drilling.

The well is located in the UK sector of the North Sea and is being drilled by Transocean's GSF Arctic II semi-submersible rig. The objective is a Palaeocene sandstone reservoir which displays similar seismic amplitude characteristics to the Scolty oil discovery which was drilled in the same block, 12km to south, in the latter part of 2007.

The Torphins well is being operated by Lundin Heather Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum AB) on behalf of a group that includes Challenger Minerals (North Sea) Limited. Revus holds a 50% working interest, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Revus Energy Limited.
