Melrose Resources Appoints an Independent Non-Executive Director

Melrose Resources plc announced the appointment of Dr. Ahmed Lakhdar Kebaili as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.  

From 1995 until his retirement in 2006, Dr. Kebaili, was the Principal Petroleum Engineer for the International Finance Corporation based in Washington, D.C.  In this role he led the technical evaluation of oil and gas financing projects and he played a major role in the investment decision process. Dr. Kebaili was heavily involved in all technical phases of the portfolio management, business development, risk assessment and training activities of the Oil and Gas Division of IFC.  

Prior to 1995, Dr. Kebaili worked for Mobil Oil Corporation for approximately 15 years in several capacities. Before joining Mobil, Dr. Kebaili worked for over six years for a Dallas-based petroleum engineering consulting firm focused on Middle East and North Africa, and OPEC countries. 

He currently the principal of Tell Energy, an oil and gas consulting firm.  He is a graduate of the University of Paris, and holds an MSc in Mathematics and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.
