NPD Reports Production Down on Norwegian Continental Shelf
The NPD reports the following about production on the Norwegian continental shelf:
The average daily production was about 2,034,000 barrels of oil, about 278,000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 77,000 barrels of condensate, a total of 2,390,000 barrels of liquid.
In April, 19.9 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 1.4 million Sm3 o.e. less than in April 2007. Statfjord C, Statfjord Nord , Statfjord Sor and Sygna were closed 21 days according to plan, Ula and Tambar fields were shut down for eight days due to preparations for connections of a new gas module.
So far this year the average daily production has been just above 2.1 million barrels of oil. The total production is about 84.2 million Sm3 o.e. This is 0.8 million Sm3 o.e. higher than in the same period last year.
Preliminary production figures for May 2008 show an average daily production of about 2.110 million barrels of oil and 0.371 million barrels of NGL and condensate.
Final figures will be available in the beginning of July 2008.
