ODIM Picks Up Crane Contract Worth NOK 32MM

ODIM has been awarded a contract by Ezra Marine Services Pte Ltd, Singapore, with a value of NOK 32 million for delivery of two 20 tonnes active heave compensated ODIM ABAS cranes. The delivery of the cranes will take place in the first half of 2009.

"It is a part of ODIM's strategy to grow internationally. Our ambition at ODIM is to provide all our customers with a more complete offer. That is why we integrate a number of products into unified solutions, like specialized cranes for offshore vessels. Last autumn's acquisition of ABAS Cranes (now ODIM ABAS) has given us access to offshore cranes which at a larger extent complements system deliveries from ODIM," said Kjetil Leine, ODIM's chief operating officer.

"Our solutions have been developed to enhance the operational efficiency of our customers. The active heave compensation on the cranes compensates for vessel motions created by waves, and by that extends the operational weather window and boosts safety for crew and equipment," said Kjetil Leine.

"We are very pleased to announce the second contract awarded by Ezra Marine within a short time, which is one of the fastest growing offshore shipping companies in South East Asia," says Jon Olav Kopperstad, vice president of Offshore Supply.
