Rubicon Intrepid Hook-Up Delayed by Weather

Nido Petroleum

Nido Petroleum's Floating Production Storage and Offtake (FPSO) vessel 'Rubicon Intrepid,' which arrived at the field location on May 11, 2008, has been deterred by a weather depression that has formed to the west of the field and is increasing in intensity as it moves east towards the field. Wind and wave heights are expected to reach up to 35 knots and eight meters, respectively. The FPSO is taking shelter in calm waters close to Palawan Island. It is not likely that the hook-up will be progressed until the weather clears.
