Antrim Drills Fyne Propsect into the Eocene Tay Sandstone
Antrim Energy Inc., an international oil and gas exploration and production company, provided an update on its drilling program on the Antrim-operated well 21/28a-9 on the Fyne Field (Antrim WI 75%) in the UK Central North Sea.
Using Transocean Prospect, the multilateral 28a-9 well was drilled as planned with three legs, one pilot hole and two sidetracks into the Eocene Tay Sandstone. It was further announced that completion and testing operations would commence on the third and final leg (21/28a-9y) with results expected in April.
As planned, testing of 21/28a-9y has begun. However, unforeseen operational delays have postponed results which we anticipate announcing the first week of May.
