Gulf Canada Resources announced a second natural gas discovery on the P9 block in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. This is the fourth successful exploration well drilled in the past nine months. The P9-9 well was drilled by Noble Drilling's jackup, Noble Lynda Bossler. The well flowed at an unstimulated test rate of 11 million cubic feet of gas per day from a 32 foot perforated interval. This discovery is located about 6 miles from a Gulf Canada operated pipeline and processing facility. A production license has been granted for this block. Gulf Canada holds a 56.4 percent interest in this well through is subsidiary Clyde Petroleum.
