Stuck Pipe Delaying Operations at Athena Well

Reochem

Reochem reports that operations on the 14/18b-17Z well were halted due to problems in the hole.

The well was spud on March 10th by the Byford Dolphin and as of April 16th had reached a measured depth of 11,383 feet. The planned depth for the well is 11,701 feet measured depth.

The drill pipe was stuck in the well. Rotation of the drill pipe and circulation of fluid past the obstruction has been established. The rig has freed the drill pipe and will now pull out of the hole for a bit change.

The operator of the well is Ithaca Energy. The well is located in license P1293 in the Outer Moray Firth of the UK Central North Sea.
