Tyche IDs Trenton-Black River Sweet Spots

Tyche Energy Inc. announced that re-interpreted seismic data over its Sombra, Ontario properties has identified three (3) potential Ordovician Trenton-Black River drilling targets.

The company holds a 48.38% WI in 1,117 acres of petroleum and natural gas leases offsetting existing Trenton gas production. Tyche owns a 38.48% WI in the Sombra 7-6-VI well that has cumulative production of over 0.5 BCF of sweet natural gas from a reservoir developed within the Trenton Black-River formation of Ordovician age.

Ordovician age reservoirs have been a major focus of oil and gas exploration activity in Ontario since 1983 when current management of Tyche discovered the Dover 7-5-V E Pool. The Dover 7-5-V E. Pool has had cumulative production to date of over 1.2 MMBO and 3.5 BCF of gas.

Tyche is well positioned to take advantage of the recent rebound in North American natural gas markets having land holdings in Southwestern Ontario and in the Caribou-Sikanni area of North East B.C.
