Roc Oil's Mauritanian Exploration Well P&A

Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company advises that as of 6AM (local time) on March 31, 2008, the Khop-1 exploration well has been plugged and abandoned offshore Mauritania.

The Atwood "Hunter" drilling rig is currently moving to drill an appraisal well on the 2002 Banda Oil and Gas discovery. The well is approximately 60 kilometers off the Mauritanian coast and is the second in the two well exploration/appraisal program, is located in PSC Area B.

Participating Interests in the PSC Area C, Block 6 Joint Venture are: Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company, 5.000%; PC Mauritania I Pty Ltd (Operator), 37.578%; Petronas Carigali Overseas Sdn Bhd, 35.000%; Tullow Oil plc, 22.422%.

Participating Interests in the PSC Area B Joint Venture are: ROC Group Companies, 3.693%; PC Mauritania I Pty Ltd (Operator), 53.846%; Tullow Oil plc, 21.600%; Mauritania Holdings B.V., 11.630%; Premier Oil Mauritania B Limited, 9.231%.
