ChevronTexaco Names New Director for Australian Unit

ChevronTexaco has named James Johnson as the new managing director for its Australasia Strategic Business Unit. Mr. Johnson is currently the general manager of the business planning and development for ChevronTexaco Overseas Petroleum in California. He will assume his new position on April 1st.

Johnson will succeed the current Australasia managing director, Rhonda Zygocki, who will become ChevronTexaco's health, environment and safety vice president, based in California.

ChevronTexaco's Australasia unit manages assets in Australia, Papua New Guinea and The Philippines. Assets include oil fields on Barrow and Thevenard islands, the undeveloped Gorgon gas fields and a one-sixth interest the North West Shelf, all offshore Western Australia.
