Tatneft has instructed its employees currently working in Iraq to leave the country because of fears of a U.S.-led military invasion. "We are recalling our oil drilling team, a total of 26 people, who were working in Iraq in the framework of Zarubezhneft's drilling contract," a Tatneft official said.
Tatneft is working in Iraq under the U.N. oil-for-food humanitarian program. In January Tatneft was awarded exploration rights to Block 9 in the Western Dessert.
