Michael Baker Corporation has appointed Joseph R. Beck, P.E., PMP, vice president and director of corporate development, effective March 10. He will report to Bradley L. Mallory, president and chief executive officer.

In this newly created position, Beck will provide leadership and guidance for all corporate development activities, including acquisitions, strategic alliances, and organic growth initiatives. Additionally, he will be responsible for advancing the company's strategic planning process. "Joe has the necessary background and expertise to take on this very important responsibility in the evolution of Baker," Mallory said. "We will work closely together to guide the company's growth strategy, which we believe will translate into value creation for our employees and shareholders."
