Kelafant Joins Gastem Board
Gastem reported that Mr. Jonathan Kelafant has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr. Kelafant (M. Sc. George Washington University) is Senior Vice President of Advanced Resources International and President of Utica Energy. He has over 22 years of experience in developing oil and gas projects, notably shale projects, in the US as well as overseas. His experience includes managing exploration and development programs in southern Africa, Ukraine, China, India, the US and several other countries. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a past President of the National Capital chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
As president of Utica Energy, a private company, Mr. Kelafant has drilled and fractured two wells in 2007 in the Utica Shale formations of New York State. His knowledge of shales and non-conventional gas production in Eastern North America will be valuable in developing Gastem's Utica projects in Quebec, New York and elsewhere.
