C-MAR Creates New Consultancy with Acquisition of Aquarius
Global providers of marine, manpower and engineering and support services to the energy industry, C-MAR Group, have acquired London and Dubai based Aquarius International Consultants Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
Marine consultants, Aquarius, will be merged with existing C-MAR Group consultancy firm, Cushing & Associates, to create a new consulting division of the group. This division will provide a broad range of marine survey, salvage and technical services to be led by existing managing director of Aquarius – Captain Keith Hart. The consultancy will operate out of Aquarius' offices aboard the HQS Wellington in London.
Commenting on the deal C-MAR Group operations director, Andrew Macdonald, said: "The acquisition of Aquarius adds to our global capabilities and resource base from which we provide customers with value added services that are characterised by integrity, professionalism and quality.
"We are delighted to welcome Keith whose knowledge, experience and reputation within the maritime community will strengthen our management team and enable us to offer an enhanced and broader services to our clients."
Captain Hart added, "This is an exciting opportunity and a great time to be joining C-MAR Group. Their global presence, financial strength, long-term marine reputation and large existing client base provide the ideal platform from which to build a world-class marine consultancy."
Formed in 1998 by Captain Hart, Aquarius works with marine insurers, the protection and indemnity sector and civil engineers to deliver expert advice and witness.
Aberdeen headquartered C-MAR recently announced a UK12 million increase in turnover and an ambitious strategy to significantly increase turnover and profits through the further internationalisation of the business.
