Det Norske Veritas has certified the jackup, Noble Lynda Bossler as ISO 14001 compliant. The rig is the first jackup in the North Sea to be recognized as meeting ISO 14001 standards. ISO 14001 refers to voluntary standards developed by the International Standards Organization to specifically address crucial aspects of environmental management and protection. The certification from DNV recognizes both the Environmental Management Systems (EMS) on the Noble Lynda Bossler and the support organization in the Aberdeen, Scotland office of Noble Drilling for fulfilling ISO 14001 standards. The Noble Lynda Bossler is currently operating under a contract with Clyde Petroleum off the environmentally sensitive coast of the Netherlands. The rig is an independent leg cantilever MSC CJ46 built in 1982 with a rated water depth of 230 feet.
