Epsilon Enjoys Favorable Results from West Virginia Drilling Program
Epsilon Energy Ltd. reported continued favorable results from its ongoing drilling program on its Blue Jacket Project in Cabell County, West Virginia. The Company has a 63% working interest in the Blue Jacket Project, which is operated by Hard Rock Exploration.
Encouraging oil and gas shows were encountered while drilling the horizontal sections of two wells; the HR #213 and HR #214. During production testing, each well yielded test rates of up to 20 bbls of oil per hour and approximately 750 Mcf of gas per day. Both wells are in the same project as the HR #216, which also encountered an oil zone and has produced in excess of 2,500 bbls of oil to date on an intermittent test basis. It is not yet known if the wells share the same reservoir.
An oil zone within the gas prone Lower Huron Shale is very rare and the Company remains unsure of the potential longevity of these wells and their ultimate recovery. The wells will continue to be evaluated to determine their true productive capacity.
