HB Rentals Hits the Deck Running with New Fleet Down Under

Major fleet investment is sparking growth in Australia for global offshore accommodation leader HB Rentals, a Superior Energy Services company, with two new contracts announced within days through its base in Perth, WA.

Schlumberger Oilphase and BJ PPS have each taken an HB Rentals engineering cabin on a rolling contract, following their arrival in Australia from the firm's European manufacturing base.

HB Rentals is carrying out ongoing expansion of its cabin fleet in Australia and South East Asia due to continued rising demand from oil and gas exploration and production firms, which are ramping-up safety and quality standards for their workers offshore.

The firm provides full certification, modification and on-site installation and hook-up services for its standard-setting modules, as well as ongoing maintenance support, throughout the region - meaning the client can concentrate on its core business.

Its high-specification, DNV, SOLAS and IMO-approved customizable 20ft x 8ft engineering cabins provide staff with safe-area working conditions inside the cabin and can be modified to accommodate almost any kind of equipment, workstation or office-space facilities.

HB Rentals' Perth base manager, Jonathon Silbert, said: "The entire Asia-Pacific region is enjoying major growth and we are seeing that first-hand, with operators keen to adopt the high-standard modules we provide, going forward.

"We have the largest DNV 2-7.1 and A60 compliant fleet of its kind and the ability to provide direct support to our clients throughout the area through our base here in Australia, complemented by our regional hub in Singapore.

"Being available in-country means we can turn around orders and delivery in a short space of time, and that we are on-hand to provide ongoing support at very short notice – something the oil and gas industry is demanding more and more."
