Dong to Issue IPO
The Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Denmark announces that it has decided to proceed with an initial public offering and the listing of the ordinary shares of DONG Energy A/S on the OMX Nordic Exchange Copenhagen. Under the proposed offering the Kingdom of Denmark and certain other shareholders will sell a part of their respective shareholdings in the company. The Kingdom of Denmark will, however, retain a majority shareholding in the company.
A prospectus describing the company and the offering is currently expected to be published in the coming weeks.
DONG Energy A/S is an integrated energy company combining generation of power and heat, exploration for and production of natural gas and oil, as well as operations in the wholesale and retail energy markets.
The Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Denmark has retained N M Rothschild & Sons Limited to act as financial adviser and Jonas Bruun as legal adviser in relation to the offering. The Joint Global Co-ordinators and Joint Bookrunners of the offering are Citi, Danske Markets and Morgan Stanley. Nordea has been appointed Joint Lead Manager while ABN AMRO, Carnegie and SEB Enskilda have been appointed Co-Lead Managers.
