Bob-1 Well To Be Abandoned

The Bob-1 well in EP 363 located south of the Linda Gas Field will be plugged and abandoned. The well was drilled to a total depth of 3,140 meters measured depth and completed an evaluation program. The Bob prospect was unsuccessful due to limited cross fault seal on the downthrown side of the bounding fault. However, the presence of gas columns within several sandstone intervals, although not commercial here, provides significant encouragement for the trapping mechanism and for other prospects in the permit.

The Ensco-56 will now commence the drilling of a series of Flag Sandstone wells. These will include South Plato-3, Gibson-2H, Simpson-7 and West Simpson-1 within the Harriet production licenses. When sea state improves within the open ocean to the west, the rig will be re-located to drill Montgomery-1 in WA-149-P (Tap 22.474%) and Toobada-1 in WA-192-P (13.7723%).

Joint Venture Participants are: Apache as operator with 73.6067%; Kufpec with 12.79% and Tap Oil with the remaining 13.6063%.
