Max Petroleum Resumes Production Zhana Makat Field
Max Petroleum has resumed production from the Zhana Makat field after receiving approval of its gas utilization plan by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and obtaining gas flaring permits from the local regulatory authorities for the calendar years ending Dec. 31, 2007 and 2008, respectively.
"Our personnel in Kazakhstan did an outstanding job bringing Zhana Makat back onto production within two weeks of being shut-in, working diligently with the regulatory authorities during an extremely busy holiday season to obtain the requisite approvals," said Max Executive Chairman Jim Jeffs.
