Noil Granted Consent for Exploration Drilling with Bredford Dolphin on Well
Noil Energy has been granted consent to exploration drilling with the Bredford Dolphin semisub on Production Licence 001B, well 16/1-9. The well is located southwest of the Grane field.
Noil is a subsidiary of Det Norske Oljeselskap ASA (DNO) and is the operator for this drilling activity.
Bredford Dolphin, which is operated by Dolphin AS, is a Semisub Aker H-3 type facility. The facility received the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's Acknowledgement of Compliance on June 28, 2007.
The activity is expected to commence in January 2008, but depends on the results from the drilling activities which will be carried out by Bredford Dolphin prior to this. The duration of the drilling activity will be approximately 65 days.
