Apache Spuds BOB-1 Well

The Bob-1 well is located in EP 363, 11 kilometers southeast of Varanus Island and south of the Linda Gas Field, and 13 kilometers to the southwest of the Gipsy Rose and Lee Oil and Gas Fields.

Bob-1 spudded on January 14th and will be drilled to a planned total depth of 3,025 meters measured depth.

The objective of the Bob-1 well is to test the North Rankin and Mungaroo Sandstone reservoirs within a 3-way dip closure which relies on a buttress fault seal to the north-east. The structure lies down-dip of, and on the hydrocarbon migration pathway from the Gipsy, Rose and Lee Oil and Gas Fields. The well is expected to take 9 days to reach the proposed total depth.
