Pakistan Logs Discovery in Sindh Province

Oil and Gas Development Company, the government-operated exploration company, has made a discovery in the southern province of Sindh. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Nouriz Shakoor Khan told a news conference initial tests at Bhulan Shah Well No 1 had produced 260 barrels per day of condensate and about eight million cubic feet of gas. The well is located 15 miles southeast of Hyderabad. This is the eighth discovery since March 2002. Reserves are estimated at 9,200 barrels of oil per day and 66 million cubic feet of gas per day.
