RigNet Makes Executive Management Changes

RigNet has named Lars P. Eliassen as vice president and general manager of the Company's Europe Africa region; John Moffatt as vice president and general manager of the Company's Middle East region; and Hector Maytorena as vice president of global sales and marketing.

Eliassen has been with RigNet since 2002, shortly after the Company was founded. He will be based in Stavanger, Norway. Most recently, he has been serving as vice president of global sales, marketing, and new product development from the Company's Houston headquarters office. In prior RigNet roles, he has held the positions of vice president of the Americas region and vice president of global operations. Prior to joining RigNet, he served as director of marketing at Production Access, Inc., a provider of information management solutions for oil and gas producers. Overall, Lars has more than ten years of management, marketing and business development experience in the oil and gas industry, serving technology, software and consulting companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.

Moffatt joins RigNet from Weatherford International, a leading oilfield services company. He will be based in Doha, Qatar. Moffatt has had a relevant and distinguished career in oilfield services at both Weatherford and Halliburton in the Middle East and the North Sea markets. Most recently, John has been serving as director of Weatherford Direct, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Other Weatherford roles have included various general management and business development roles of increasing responsibility in the Middle East. At Halliburton, he was based in Aberdeen and the Netherlands where he held regional leadership and technical roles in Integrated Solutions over the BP and Royal Dutch Shell well construction teams, and managed the Foinaven Well Completions Alliance for BP during their first North Sea deepwater development, which included providing leadership over, and coordination among, multiple service companies. Prior to that, he was a marine engineering officer in the British Navy.

Maytorena joins RigNet from United Technologies, a global diversified services company. He will be based at RigNet's Houston headquarters. Most recently, Maytorena has been serving as general manager, Southeast Texas for United Technologies' UTC Fire & Security (operating under the Chubb Security and Redhawk brands). Prior to that role, he was director of sales at Chubb Security USA. Maytorena has a long history within the remote communications industry, holding various sales, marketing, and business development leadership roles with increasing responsibility at Stratos Global Corporation's Broadband Division. These roles included senior director, global energy sales; director, global energy sales and marketing; senior sales manager; and regional sales manager. He has also owned and operated a training and development company providing customized corporate leadership and sales training services.
