iicorr Wins First Gulf of Mexico Contract

Houston based, inspection, integrity and corrosion specialists, iicorr Inc, has been awarded their first ever pipeline integrity / cathodic protection survey contract in the Gulf of Mexico. The work is with one of the main deepwater operators in the region and brings the total value of this specialist iicorr work activity in the deepwater Americas Region to more than £1million.

The company, whose headquarters are in Aberdeen, Scotland, has had a successful year and has doubled its workforce in the past twelve months with seventy new appointments. The Gulf of Mexico contract will be coordinated from iicorr's Houston base and will take place over a 2-month period. It is believed to be the first time a contract for this highly specialized technology has been awarded for this pipeline infrastructure.

Our Houston office has given us a solid base to expand from and this project highlights iicorr's advanced technology and high-end corrosion engineering knowledge.

iicorr was recently recognized for its achievement in internationalization at the Northern Star Business awards 2007. The company has grown its oversees sales to £8.2million and in the past 12 months, iicorr has entered a number of countries including Brazil, Canada, Egypt, UAE, Italy and South Africa.
