FPSO Sevan Voyageur Departs for the North Sea

The FPSO Sevan Voyageur left Yantai Raffles Shipyard in China on November 6th. The FPSO has been placed onboard a dry tow vessel and is on its way to the Keppel Verolme shipyard for topside hook-up and commissioning.

FPSO Sevan Voyageur will be installed on the Shelley field in 2008, under a five year contract with Oilexco North Sea Ltd. The Shelley Block is located on Block 22/2b in the central UK Sector of the North Sea.

With an overall length measuring 66 meters and overall width of 60 meters, the Sevan Voyageur has an oil storage capacity of 300,000 barrels and an offloading capacity of 3,600 cubic meters per hour. The round- shaped vessel uses significantly less hull surface to contain the same storage volume, thus reducing the amount of steel required for construction. The accommodation area comprises living quarters, offices and communal facilities for 57 crew members.
