StatoilHydro Investigation Dropped
Okokrim, Norway's economic crime law enforcement division, announced that it has dropped its investigation into a suspected corruption case involving deals between StatoilHydro (then Norsk Hydro) and Libyan consultants.
Okokrim stated that there was no basis for an investigation right now, but that the communication line would stay open between the companies and the agency.
Just days ago, the first chairman of the newly merged Statoil Hydro, Eivind Reiten, resigned amid the controversy.
