Subsea UK has launched the 2008 Subsea Business Awards October 7, 2007. Following the huge success of the inaugural awards earlier this year, 2008 is expected to see hundreds of nominations from around the UK.

The awards aim to recognize excellence and achievement across the rapidly expanding subsea sector and feature categories for individuals as well as small and large organizations. The categories are Best Subsea Company, Best New Subsea Business and Best Young Subsea Personality. The board of Subsea UK will make a special award to the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the subsea industry.

The Subsea Business Awards 2008 will open today with entries to be submitted by December 1, 2007. The recognition of the out-standing work, achievement and innovation in the sector will be celebrated at the awards dinner held on February 13th, the evening before Europe’s largest subsea exhibition and conference - Subsea 08, which is already sold out.

It is anticipated that these awards will highlight some leading lights who have not only helped shape the industry’s past but will be part of driving forward its future."
