RWE-Dea Makes Sirte Basin Oil Discovery
RWE dea has made a new oil discovery in Area 195 at Sirte Basin (700 km east of Tripoli, 150 km south-west of Ras Lanuf) under an EPSA 3 Agreement entered into with the National Oil Corporation.
This discovery was made at the exploration well (A1-NC 195), The total production reached 1981 barrels per day at a choke of 64/32 inches from the Dahra formation at a depth of 1353 meters and from Beda formation at a depth of 1457 meters, and The discovered crude gravity is around 47.8 degrees API.
Under the above-mentioned EPSA Agreement, The share of NOC is 68% while the share of RWE is 32%.
