NPD Names Two New Directors
Sissel Eriksen and Oystein Dretvik have been appointed directors of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
Eriksen holds a cand. scient. degree in geology from the University of Oslo and has been employed by the NPD since 1985. She also has broad-based experience from exploration, development and operations in the NPD. In the management team, her special focus area will be undiscovered resources and award of production licenses.
Dretvik holds a cand. scient. degree in petroleum geology from the University of Bergen and has been employed by the NPD since 1986. He has broad-based experience within the NPD's activities with emphasis on development, operations and regulatory development. In the management team, his special focus area will be evaluation of players, regulations and management.
The appointments are effective Sept. 10, 2007.
