Northern Oil & Gas Names New Director

Northern Oil & Gas has appointed Lisa Bromiley Meier to its Board of Directors. Northern is based in Wayzata, Minnesota and involved with exploration and production. The company controls 30,000 mineral acres in the Williston Basin and 10,000 acres in the Appalachia Basin.

Meier is Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Flotek Industries, an oilfield services company that produces chemicals and down-hole drilling and production equipment. At Flotek, Meier was instrumental in integration of 10 acquisitions and equity and credit capital expansions. Prior to Flotek, Meier worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and in accounting for three Fortune 500 companies.

Meier holds a BBA and Masters in Accountancy from the University of Texas. She is a CPA and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. She was named the “2007 Chief Financial Officer of the Year” by the Houston Business Journal.

As an independent Director, Meier will serve as the primary financial expert on the Board and will chair the Audit Committee. As compensation, Meier receives a restricted stock options grant.
