TGS-NOPEC
TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA has been awarded an Exploration License on the French shelf of the Mediterranean Sea. The license covers approximately 25,000 square kilometers in the Rhone Maritime area and secures for TGS-NOPEC the exclusive right to acquire multi-client seismic data for three years.
TGS-NOPEC has recently completed the acquisition and processing of 4,220 kilometers of non-exclusive seismic 2D-data in the area and the survey is currently being presented to the industry.
"The data shed new light on the basin development and the hydrocarbon potential of the area. There are lots of exciting plays / leads", comments Frode Sandnes, Chief Geologist Southern Europe at TGS-NOPEC.
