W&T Offshore Makes Management Changes
Today, W&T Offshore appointed Karen S. Acree Vice President and Controller. John D. Gibbons, the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, assumed additional responsibilities as Chief Accounting Officer. William W. Talafuse, formerly Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, has accepted other duties.
Ms. Acree has 25 years of accounting and financial experience, most recently as Vice President and Controller of Bois d'Arc Energy. Prior to Bois d'Arc, she was Assistant Controller of Global Santa Fe Corp where she worked from 1982-2006. Acree holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas Tech University and is a member in both the Texas Society and Houston Chapter of Certified Public Accountants.

W&T was founded in 1983 as an independent oil and natural gas company, including deepwater exploration, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico. Through acquisition and exploration W&T now holds working interests in over 200 fields in federal and state waters. A majority of its daily production is derived from wells operations.
