ANH to Publish Pre-qualified List September 11 for E&P Round
Colombia's hydrocarbons regulator ANH will publish a list on September 11 of companies pre-qualified to participate in a bidding round it dubs the "first competitive process of 2007," an ANH spokesperson told BNamericas.
ANH launched the round July 6 for blocks located in seven areas in the Llanos Orientales, Putumayo and Valle Superior e Inferior del Río Magdalena regions of Colombia.
Canadian oil and gas juniors Pacific Stratus (TSX: PSE) and Petro Rubiales (TSX: PEG) already have announced that ANH invited them to participate in projects in the Llanos Orientales region.
The Llanos Orientales basin is one of the most prospective hydrocarbons sectors in Colombia's Andean region with Paleozoic graben systems and Cretaceous source rocks.
"A round for heavy-crude projects in the Llanos Orientales region is scheduled to begin shortly," the spokesperson said.
ANH released in late August a list of pre-qualified companies for a separate round, Ronda Caribe, for 13 E&P blocks in northern Colombia.
