Caprock Picks Tutt to Head Global Energy Markets Division

Douglas Tutt has been appointed president for Global Energy Markets and will manage CapRock Communications' energy business worldwide. Tutt moved into the newly created position after serving as managing director of the South American Operations of CapRock in Central and South America.

Tutt was employed as an independent financial advisor assisting companies with strategic planning and fundraising activities prior to joining CapRock. He also served as Vice-President for Latin Tech Capital, a venture capital company where he co-led the structuring efforts of a $50 million investment company targeting technology corporations. Prior to employment with Latin Tech Capital, Tutt held a series of progressively responsible assignments for General Electric Capital's private equity division in Central Europe and South America.

CapRock Communications has more than 25-years experience as a global satellite communications provider for the energy, maritime, engineering and construction, commercial shipping, mining and disaster recovery industries, as well as for government services.
