Powder River Appoints Havelock to Board

Powder River Basin Gas reported that Jon Havelock has joined the Board of Directors.

Havelock was a member of the Alberta Legislature for Calgary Shaw from 1993 to 2001, during which he held the positions of Minister of Economic Development from 1999 to 2001 and Minister of Justice and Attorney General from 1997 to 1999. Havelock also served as Government House Leader, Deputy Government House Leader, a Member of the Cabinet Agenda and Priorities Committee and Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Financial Planning. While elected, Havelock spoke extensively on public policy matters in Alberta, Asia, Europe and the United States.

Prior to entering the Legislature, Havelock had a long career in marketing, real estate and law, the latter including a six-year period as Legal Counsel with Amoco Canada Petroleum Company in Calgary, Alberta and a Senior Real Estate Representative with Amoco Corporation in Chicago.

Havelock's position on the Board will commence on August 15th, 2007.
