Tanjung Wins Work from Murphy Sarawak
Tanjung Offshore's subsidiary, Tanjung Offshore Services has been awarded a contract from Murphy Sarawak Oil Company Limited for the provision and supply of a Self Elevating Relocatable Facility ("SERF") unit for the SK309/311 Phase One Gas Development Projects for a primary contract sum of approximately Ringgit Malaysia Ninety Million (RM90,000,000.00) for 18 months with an option to extend the said contract for up to two years. The letter of award from Murphy Oil dated July 20, 2007 was approved and received on July 30, 2007.
The SERF is a mat jackup capable of operating in water depths of up to 250 feet. The SERF will be used to assist in the installation of drilling or production jackets/platforms and as such has the capability to lift loads in excess of five hundred (500) metric tonnes with a crane on the main deck of the SERF. The SERF has accommodation and related facilities for at least eighty personnel.
The SERF is expected to be chartered and mobilized by mid October 2007 and will be operational at the SK309/311 fields located off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia.
