Netco Wins Contract for Nigerian FPSO

The National Engineering and Technical Company of Nigeria has won an engineering contract for the FPSO slated for ExxonMobil's Erha oil field. Netco is a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. The company will be providing engineering for the riser protection structures, stair towers and a portion of the pipe racks. Bouygues Offshore is the main contractor on the project which is expected to take 15-18 months to complete.
The Erha field is located in OPL 209 in approximately 4,000 feet of water. The field is expected to commence production in latter part of 2005 with an initial start-up of 150,000 barrels per day.
