Forest Oil to Bring Redoubt Shoal Onstream by Year-End
|Thursday, November 14, 2002
Forest Oil anticipates that its Redoubt Shoal field in Alaska will begin production by year-end. The Redoubt #5 was drilled directionally to a total depth of 17,000 feet. Production casing was run after conventional cores and open-hole logs were obtained. Pressure data and samples will be taken separately from the Upper and Lower Hemlock intervals prior to running completion equipment. Following installation of completion equipment in the Redoubt #5 well, the Redoubt #1, #2 and #3 wells will then also be completed in anticipation of first sales at year-end. Drilling will resume following the first phase of completion operations. Onshore and offshore pipeline construction has been completed and onshore facility construction is nearing completion.
