Pertamina to Exceed 2007 Production Targets
Pertamina EP will exceed its oil production targets this year of 117,536 barrels per day as production between January and April has reached 117,000 barrels per day, Pertamina President Director Ari Soemarno said in a presentation to Commission VII at the parliament on Wednesday (06/27).
Gas output, however, has reached 921.7 MMSCFD on average compared with a target of 1,319 MMSCFD.
In 2008 and 2009, Pertamina EP targets to produce oil of 138,840 bpd and 171,894 bpd, while gas output targets are set at 1,539 MMSCFD and 1,746 MMSCFD.
Pertamina has conducted several efforts to increase oil and gas production, including developing Besitang-Gebang gas in North Sumatra, accelerating exploration in Pondok Tengah and speeding up the exploration of Cepu's shallow prospect area.
