Aker Capital Increases Stake in Aker Invest
Aker Capital is increasing its ownership interest in Aker Invest from 60 percent to 100 percent. Aker Capital is acquiring Aker Yards' 40 percent ownership of Aker Invest for NOK 450 million. Aker Capital is a wholly owned Aker subsidiary.
Aker Invest's largest single investment is it's holding of 23.7 percent of Odim ASA shares, a company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Aker Invest also wholly owns the industrial company Midsund Bruk and has some vessel ownership interests.
Further, Aker Capital is acquiring 4.7 percent of the shares in Aker Oilfield Services from Aker Yards for NOK 22 million. The share acquisition values Aker Oilfield Services at USD 80 million; Aker owns about 50 percent of the newly established offshore oilfield services company.
