FMC Wins Subsea Contract for Vigdis Field

FMC Energy Systems has signed an agreement with Norsk Hydro to supply subsea systems and related services for the Vigdis Extension Field in the North Sea. The contract is valued at approximately $49 million.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Vigdis Extension Field is within the scope of the frame agreement for subsea systems signed in 2000 by FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS, FMC Technologies' Norway-based subsidiary, and Norsk Hydro. The Vigdis Extension contract includes six subsea trees and associated structures, manifolds and production control systems, as well as connection systems for flowlines and umbilicals.

"This agreement for the Vigdis Extension reflects our extensive experience as a subsea solutions provider in the North Sea, as well as the strength of our global alliance with Norsk Hydro," said Peter D. Kinnear, Vice President, FMC Energy Systems.
