Perupetro: 2007 E&P Round Attracts 47 Companies
Forty-seven companies have submitted letters of intent to participate in Peru's 2007 hydrocarbons E&P round, state hydrocarbons promotion agency Perupetro general manager Carlos Vives told BNamericas.
The deadline to submit letters of intent and documents to qualify for the round's 19 blocks was June 8.
"Twenty-eight companies have qualified to date and we expect 5-7 more to qualify," said Vives. Company names were not released.
The blocks are in the fields of Huallaga (block 140), Madre de Dios (133), Maranon (130, 134-137 and 143), Talara (XXV and Z-45), Titicaca (141), Trujillo (Z-46 and Z-47), Salaverry (Z-48 and Z-49) and Ucayali (131, 132, 138 and 139).
Perupetro will keep the round's data room open through June 15, which also is the deadline to submit questions. The agency will respond to questions on June 22.
Qualifiers will submit technical and economic bids on July 9, the same day technical bids will be opened. Perupetro plans to open economic offers and award contracts on July 12.
